Au 6e siècle av.J.C. quelques hommes viennent s’installer à la colline St. Vincent. La population s’augmente aux années 70 av. J.C. et la ville est un point clé pour la commerce.
The fortified site of Gaujac at St. Vincent hill was found in the 6th century B.C. In the 70s B.C. the population began to grow and the oppidum became important for local commerce.
